GCSE Success

Thamesmead students were celebrating their GCSE results today with 83% achieving 5 or more A*-C grades and 73% achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths. Five particularly delighted students were Kirsty Nangle, who gained 10 A* grades, Holly Winch and Chloe Philp who both gained 8 A* grades and Jack Saunders and Megan Hall who both gained 7 A*s.

Head teacher, Peter Rodin said, “I am so pleased for our students and the success that they have achieved. I am particularly impressed by the way in which they have achieved such high standards across such a wide range of subjects. In addition to performing so well in Maths and English they have produced some of our best ever results in Science, Humanities and Languages and in Drama and Music 100% of the students taking GCSE gained an A*-C to C grade.  All of this is a result of their hard work and the excellent support that they have had from their teachers and families. We wish them the very best for the future.”
