Thamesmead is an 11-16 comprehensive school in the village of Shepperton, Surrey. The high standard of behaviour and academic achievement of our students means the school is extremely highly regarded in the local area.

Mike Lindup, founder member, keyboard player and vocalist in the enormously successful jazz-funk band Level 42 visited Thamesmead school to share his experience and expertise with our students. Mike, who has recorded 14 albums, selling over 30 million copies and toured with Madonna,  said "It was an absolute pleasure to chat to the students and answer their questions about my life in music and I hope that I have helped inspire some great talent".

The students are responsible for bringing the following equipment to their exams:

Black ink pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, sharpener in a transparent pencil case or similar

(Maths only) – compass, protractor  (Maths & Science) – calculator where required

Do not forget water – particularly for long exams and/or in hot weather
