Curriculum Information for Key Stage 3 students

Welcome to the Drama department

Aim:

To continue to provide a broad, accessible curriculum that meets the needs of ALL students enabling progress both short term and long term and to promote a love of drama as a discreet subject and foster a respectful acceptance of all students who wish to and strive to excel at the subject.

 

Overview:      

A spiral curriculum which introduces key techniques and concepts in Year 7 and revisits these across KS3 in a variety of contexts including historical theatre, theatre-makers and practitioners, creating own work and working from established scripts.

 

What topics will I study in KS3 (years 7, 8 & 9):
