Student Leadership Team
Our Student Leadership Team is made up of representatives across each year group, elected by their peers.
They meet regularly to discuss issues affecting the whole school and also arrange charity events. In past terms the Student Council have contributed ideas to the changes to the school uniform and new menu ideas for the canteen.
Here are a few words from our 2024-25 Senior Students, Rebecca and Aras
At Thamesmead, we admire and believe that every student shines light on the seven values of our inclusive school: resilience, confidence, community focus, respect, aspiration, commitment and finally, independence. This is embodied in the school environment and shown at every stage of school life, whether that may be academic or social. There is a special place at Thamesmead for everyone, where every perspective is valued and taken into consideration, like never before! Through our wide range of committees and extracurriculars, we show that we are passionate about making changes to accommodate everyone, no matter who they are.
Our school is a place for students to grow and develop into perceptive young adults, and as remarkable people. We believe every cloud has a silver lining, and that every child should have a chance to achieve all their goals and dreams, through their endeavors and in future life. Thamesmead is the perfect place for success – where a vision can become reality.
