National Careers Week – 1st – 5th March

National Careers Week:  Monday 1st March to Friday 5th March.

In these difficult times we tend to think that there will not be jobs out there.  There will be for those of us flexible enough to adapt and resilient enough to persevere.  That is one of the reasons why we teach LMI (Labour Market Information) to our students and we provide information on our website and via Thamesmead Talk to help guide our students.  Teachers also talk about different jobs in lessons.  One example; in Chemistry is that we learn about how to make water potable (drinkable).  The water companies are always going to need good employees from engineers to human resources.

In this digital age, we have been offered a plethora of potentially interesting information.  This parents’ guide is a useful tool in NCW- The Parents’ Guide to – National Careers Week 2021 – National Careers Week

Our Enterprise Coordinator from EnterpriseM3 has suggested that these events for our students.  You can sign up and view at your convenience.  It is always interesting for Year 10 and 11 students to go to careers fairs and we have not had the chance to go to any this year.  As I cannot preview, please view with your child to see if suitable before letting them browse.
