On Wednesday evening the Thamesmead dining hall was transformed into a gastronomic paradise as 53 covers sat down to enjoy a delicious three course meal prepared by our GCSE Food and Nutrition students with professional expertise from the team at the Red Lion Pub, Shepperton.
Our budding chefs and front of house student team created and served delicious dishes of crab, lamb shank and sticky toffee pudding whilst diners were serenaded by a tuneful Mr Loffstadt.
This has created a brilliant opportunity for students to learn from the professionals at the Red Lion about food preparation and service and they really rose to the occasion.
We are very grateful to the team at the Red Lion Pub for supporting us and giving students this ‘hands-on’ opportunity. We look forward to future ventures in the future.
