We know that to prepare our students for their adult lives we need to help them develop individual skills and interests. We encourage participation in a daily range of Thamesmead Plus activities, to extend learning and develop these skills.
Activities vary each term (seasonal sports and according to teacher specialisms) and can be found here
https://www.thamesmead.surrey.sch.uk/thamesmead-plus/
Study Room/Home Learning Club facilities are available in the Learning Centre and in our ICT suite daily. (separately for Year 11 too). Student Support also offers extra help for SEND students after school.
Visiting groups run workshops, drama presentations, business challenges and road safety awareness. In addition, Enterprise Days, Careers Fairs, Interview workshops and Skills Fairs develop employability skills such as independent thinking and problem solving. We welcome the involvement of these groups adding to the experience of our students.
There are inter-house challenges led by the House Leaders regularly with events such as Lego challenge, Make-up challenge, Dodgeball, Staff vs Students quiz, football, darts tournament, netball and Bake Off.
